August Reading & Workshop

I am happy to be on tap for two dates–a reading and a workshop on character building to start off the month.

AUGUST 4th ART LOOP, 5 – 9 PM at the Delaware Contemporary

1st Friday (Dennis)

Opening Receptions: Spiral, Recoil and Studio artists Shawn Pinckney and Carson Zullinger.

5 – 6 PM: Panel discussion with artist Roberto Lugo on his work in the group exhibition, “Jarring”.
5 – 9 PM: Hands Across Wilmington – Join artists Corina Hayes of YoCoKnits and Carol Maurer to create hand pendants to be installed in Wilmington parks.
6 – 8 PM: Paint Party – Enjoy a night out with your friends while a professional teaching artist leads you step by step to create your own painting! $25.00 Register Now!
6:30 – 7:15 PM: Readings in the galleries with Ramona DeFelice Long and Dennis Lawson. Both authors are featured in the Summer 2017 issue of Philadelphia Stories.


Building a Character Online Workshop, Sunday, August 6 – Saturday 12, offered through Sisters in Crime: New England.

Building a Character is a 7-day, hands-on workshop to guide writers in crafting well-rounded and intriguing lead characters who can star in a standalone or carry a series. A work in progress is suggested but not required. This workshop is free to members of New England Sisters in Crime, and open to the public for $25. Check here for details and registration.
